Have you heard? DNV GL is setting up a 3D Printing Lab in Singapore! 15 FEBRUARY 2018

A week ago on 9 Feb 2018, DNV GL announced that they will be setting up a Global Additive Manufacturing Centre of Excellence In Singapore. This centre, which is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), aims to provide the industry with technical standards and guidelines for qualifying and certifying Additive Manufacturing (AM) equipment, processes, products, materials and personnel.

With its global competence and ongoing niche in providing standards and certifications for the Offshore & Marine (O&M) Sector, DNV GL hopes encourage the rapid adoption of AM technology by more companies, thereby enhancing Singapore’s vision to be positioned as a world leader in this technology and be recognized as an integrated global additive manufacturing hub.

We, at 3D Metalforge, are stoked to hear of this exciting news! As one of the first additive manufacturing companies regionally to be certified ISO9001 by DNV GL last year, we are happy to lead the pack in the increasing standards development of this sector and additive manufacturing as a whole.

As we have identified the increasing demand of 3D printed metal end use parts amongst our customers, we are also committed to working closely with DNV GL and other industry partners to further develop AM in Singapore and the rest of the world to the highest standards.
